10:45 - 11:15 REPOTTING YOUR ORCHID Most orchids should be repotted immediately after they are done blooming when you first purchase them and then every 1 – 2 years! Once you know the basics, re-potting is easy! This quick seminar will teach you everything you need to know.
11:15 – 11:30 ORCHIDS 101 PART 1 - WHERE TO GROW YOUR ORCHIDS The #1 reason orchids fail to re-bloom is usually insufficient light. In this quick talk you’ll learn where you can grow orchids – in windowsills (East or South facing is best), under lights (fluorescent tubes), on patios, in greenhouses and even outdoors! Plus lots of growing tips!
11:30 – 11:45 ORCHIDS 101 PART 2 - HOW TO PROPERLY WATER & FERTILIZE YOUR ORCHIDS The easiest way to kill your orchid is by giving it too much “love” (aka water!). Learn the proper ways to know just when your orchid needs water and how to water to insure your plant is healthy & happy
11:45 – 12:00 ORCHIDS 101 – PART 3 – HOW TO GET YOUR ORCHIDS TO REBLOOM YEAR AFTER YEAR Having a challenge getting your orchid to re-bloom? Follow a few simple rules, and your orchids will bloom year after year! Make sure they get lots of light, fertilize regularly, repot and make sure they have good airflow and a day to night temperature change!
